    Off to Life Basics:

Off to Life Basics is a one-day event for 12th grade students attending schools in the Wetzel and Tyler County school systems. The event is organized through a collaboration between the Wetzel and Tyler County Family Resource Networks (FRNs), the school systems, and the Wetzel Tyler Adult Learning Center/Spokes. It is designed to help students prepare for life after graduation and features vendors and seminars on important topics such as financial literacy, career planning, self-defense, car care, and more.

Transportation Committee and Child Care Committee

The Family Resource Network (FRN) is actively involved in community initiatives to address gaps in essential services. As part of the Transportation Committee, the FRN is working to help tackle the lack of public transportation in the area, working with committee members across five counties to help bring reliable public transportation options to connect residents to jobs, education, healthcare, and other services.

The FRN is also part of the Child Care Committee, which is addressing the shortage of child care centers and
providers in our area. Together with other committee members, the FRN is working to identify needs and help
develop solutions to ensure families have access to safe and dependable child care.
