Tyler County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition

The Tyler County Substance Abuse Coalition, organized by New Pathways, a nonprofit organization, brings together community members and organizations to address substance abuse in a comprehensive way. The coalition holds monthly meetings open to the public and is involved in several community events, including Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, Save a Life Day, and mental health and substance abuse prevention carnivals. These initiatives provide education, resources, and safe ways to prevent substance misuse in the community.

Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

We coordinate an annual prescription drug take-back day with the local sheriff’s office, DEA, and local pharmacy to provide a safe, convenient way for the community to dispose of unused or expired medications and help prevent misuse.

Save a Life Day
Mental Health and Substance Abuse Carnival

We co-host a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Carnival alongside the Sistersville Alumni parade to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and connect the community with local resources and support-all in a fun, family friendly environment.
